This year, the pandemic has made us reconsider, transform and rebuild so many aspects of life. It has also made us realize that many things can exist digitally, rather than physically. I have decided to close the MATE Museum in Lima, after 8 years dedicated to contemporary art and education. I would like to thank everyone who has been part of making MATE a reality. From the artists to the team to our loyal sponsors. Thank you all. I look forward to carrying on, through new platforms and media, doing wonderful things together.

Este año, la pandemia nos ha hecho reconsiderar, transformar y reconstruir varios aspectos de la vida. También nos ha hecho darnos cuenta de que muchas cosas pueden existir digitalmente, en lugar de físicamente. He decidido cerrar el Museo MATE en Lima, luego de 8 años dedicados al arte contemporáneo y la educación. Me gustaría agradecer a todos los que han sido parte de hacer de MATE una realidad. Desde los artistas hasta al equipo y a nuestros leales patrocinadores. Gracias a todos. Espero sigamos adelante, a través de nuevas plataformas y medios, haciendo grandes cosas juntos.
