Lake Nakamaki is a small body of water in Hijiri Kogen. 

During the harsh winter, you can see the forests of Japanese larch surrounding the pond tinged with frosty white.

Sometimes the surface of the lake itself freezes, creating an otherworldly landscape both tranquil and mysterious.

*The road to Lake Nakamaki may be icy during winter, so drive with caution.
