It’s runs from Broadway to Lafayette, and ends at Alamo Plaza. It was once known as Art St. From 1767-1959 a country resort called Vauxhall Gardens was located here. This area belonged to John Jacob Astor, and soon after his death, the area is renamed Astor Place. A nice walking area and there’s a sweet little coffee shop here too. There’s lots of history about this area and fun to read! I’m truly enjoying reading, drawing and seeing these places come to life in a whimsical way. I realized that I don’t ever have to leave my apt and create life to all that I love from my desk! About not ever leaving my apt...jk...but for now, it works! It fills me and allows me to see the outdoors without being outdoors.
