Mirroring commercial imagery, news photography has become a more creative and stylish storytelling medium. Michael Shaw, Publisher of @ReadingthePictures, and Professor Cara Finnegan, an expert on photography and visual politics and a Reading the Pictures contributor, will explain how they read news photos and look closely at examples of artful news images. Launched in 2004, the non-profit Reading the Pictures is the only organization dedicated to the daily analysis of news photographs. #PhotoVogueFestival
