Meleko Mokgosi’s first solo exhibition in the United Kingdom and Europe, "Democratic Intuition," recently opened at Gagosian, Britannia Street, London. Head to "Gagosian Quarterly" to read an essay by Mokgosi on his eight-chapter painting cycle, an epic of southern African life and folklore. Louise Neri contributes an introduction to the artist's work. The text was originally published as the preface to the comprehensive catalogue “Meleko Mokgosi: Democratic Intuition,” published by Pacific with Jack Shainman Gallery.
