Marion served in the WAVES, the women's branch of the United States Naval Reserve during World War II. “I graduated from high school and couldn’t find a job. Said, why not?” shared Marion. “A few didn’t want any women in the service.” In honor of Veterans Day in the U.S., I am sharing images from my ongoing work about women WWII veterans.
