But no matter what happens tomorrow, don’t rest in the victory if your choice wins, and don’t despair if your choice doesn’t. Yes, a lot is at stake, but there is so much we CAN do beyond the polls. We know that now. I am suggesting that you look at voting in any election as a “spoke on the wheel,” as opposed to the “end all, be all,” where we vote every couple years and ride it out as powerless, accepting-of-whatever civilians. That time is over. That mindset won’t begat the many changes we need. I believe that beyond the polls, in every day life, it is time to utilize our gifts, positions, & acumen in EVERY arena for the truest changes to be made. Whatever you do, do it for the right reasons...with a larger and more meaningful purpose. Everyone has a role to play in the efforts of change, equality & upholding righteousness: Big AND small. High AND low. Visible AND unseen. Loud AND quiet. Like spokes on a wheel, no one job is more important than the other, but they all work together to push things forward. I just wanna remind you that this is a matter of perseverance, relentlessness, and continuance. It’s time we use our many, many gifts—they are weapons of change.
