Here are just a few to send a shiver down your spine: ⠀ ⠀ 👻 Legend has it that Room 202 of Winnipeg’s Fort Garry Hotel (@fortgarryhotel) is haunted by the ghost of a woman who died there. Staff have reported seeing blood dripping down the walls, while guests have witnessed a hovering, cloaked woman at the foot of the bed.⠀ 🐉 Scotland’s Nessie isn’t the only water monster around - one is also believed to be lurking in the depths of Okanagan Lake, British Columbia. Described as a multi-humped serpentine beast with the head of a horse, snake or sheep, the creature is referred to as Ogopogo and has become a local legend. The origin of this legend comes from the idea that there is a “Spirit of the Lake” that acted as a protector according to the Syilx People of the Okanagan Nation.⠀ 🦇 Calgary’s Hose & Hound pub is reportedly a hotspot for paranormal activity, with employees witnessing flying objects, slamming doors and other unexplained disturbances.⠀ 💀 Niagara Falls’ screaming tunnel is a 40-metre passageway, originally constructed in the early 1900s for railroad cars. The story says that if you go into the tunnel after midnight and strike a match, it will mysteriously extinguish...⠀ 🎃 Locals from our Atlantic provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island describe sightings of a ghostly burning ship off shore, which appears when a storm is approaching. The story dates back at least 200 years and according to local folklore the spooky apparition sets ablaze as it travels along the Northumberland Strait.
