Many still think that it was premeditated, I swear it was not! “Why did you come here in Japan?” is the first question they ask you, and the name of the TV program (YOUは何しに日本へ?). My first answer was pretty interesting, I told them that I was a cosplayer and a model there in Japan. Totally embarrassed and thrilled at the same time, I became “Yuriko Tiger” and I danced a cover of Luka Luka Night Forever. From that moment my name was more recognisable, and I think it was the real start of everything. I’ve been a guest a few times after that; for a 2h special, as a reporter and commentator, for a quick interview (Moshi Moshi Nippon) and again a few months ago, 6 years later! Tanti credono ancora fosse un incontro premeditato ma non è così! "Cosa fai in Giappone?" è la prima cosa che chiedono, nonché il nome del programma (YOUは何しに日本へ?). La mia risposta suonò interessante: "sono cosplayer e modella". Imbarazzata, emozionata e felice ballai una cover di Luka Luka Night Fever, entrando nel "personaggio" che mi ero costruita: Yuriko Tiger. Con la messa in onda di quel programma quel nome cominciò davvero ad essere cercato e conosciuto. Credo fu il vero inizio di tutto. Sono stata poi ospite nello spesso programma negli anni seguenti: per uno special di 2ore, come commentatrice e reporter, per una intervista mentre ero al Moshi Moshi Nippon, e poi stata nuovamente contattata qualche mese fa!
