Photo by @Joel Sartore / This is Pahu, a Sumatran rhino named after the river nearby where she was found. She was rescued by #SumatranRhinoRescue, an alliance of conservation groups including National Geographic working to save the Sumatran rhino from the brink of extinction. Today, there are fewer than 80 Sumatran rhinos left in the world. Pahu is the Bornean subspecies of the Sumatran rhino. She is markedly smaller than the other two subspecies of Sumantran rhinos.
