Between consistant 80 degree days and trying to figure out how we can best contribute to a world that needs a lot of improvements, pursuing hard projects just hasn't made the most sense. While my favorite part of climbing is beating my head against the wall on a route that feels out of reach, I've tried to focus on pleasure climbing on the days I do go out this fall. That's meant climbing in the sun, amidst autumn colors, on warmups all day, or on routes I don't feel pressure to complete. I'm lucky I get to make these choices to go out and just have fun, amidst learning how my choices affect the people around me.
