Somos más fuertes gracias a ellos. . . . It's important to me that CIA reflect the country it serves. We're not quite there yet, from a numbers perspective, but I think that we can get there. It's one of the reasons I was inspired to join the Hispanic Advisory Council (HAC), the oldest of CIA's Employee Resource Groups. I think the richness of the HAC and the other resource groups really increases our global and cultural understanding. They bring a depth of understanding that you can't find in a book, one that can't be taught. You can't build a pipeline by just opening up the aperture. You have to go beyond that bottleneck and start there. These groups help to elevate our officers and allow them to bring their full selves to the office.
