(2/3) "I am so grateful for the work done by those who came before me to pave the way for a more inclusive environment at CIA. If it weren’t for these people, I wouldn’t be able to bring my whole self to work every day. It’s because we’ve had these leaders through the different generations fighting for equality – LGBT, racial, gender, and otherwise – that I am comfortable to be out at CIA. I won’t say it was an easy process. At first I was very hesitant and wouldn’t really talk about it, the culture even just a few years ago wasn’t as accepting. But things have – and are continuing – to move in the right direction, thanks to LGBT resource groups for CIA employees like ANGLE and those advocates both in and outside of the building."
