As your friend, I watched you become the captain of the Yale Football Team, work for Joe Biden, attend Michigan Law School, work with my mom at Wilmer Hale in Boston, work for the CIA, work as a prosecutor for the U.S. Attorney’s office for 10 years in San Diego, become a partner at Jones Day, and most recently, I watched you become the Assistant U.S. Attorney of Southern California. I was always very proud of you, Pete. You used every moment of your life to make yourself and everyone around you better, and you loved and treated your family as well as any man could.
