Meet the Northern Emerald-Toucanet (Aulacorhynchus prasinus)! Native to parts of Mexico and Central America, it prefers to live in montane forest habitats. There are up to eight subspecies of Northern Emerald-Toucanet, all with slight variations in throat color and bill pattern, depending on the locale. It has a varied menu that includes fruits, small vertebrates, and invertebrates.
