One of the things I did as a child was go to museums. Museum visits (among other things) was considered a special outing. It was something we did often from when I was about 7 to around 11 or 12 yrs old. I have a soft spot for museums and appreciate the talent behind each displays. As a child, it was a place I go because my parents enjoyed it. But as I got a little older, I realized it was a way for my parents to show us art and culture. I used to imagine that parts of the room filled with exhibits was my house and through imagination I used to play house. Some museums I visited had a garden area and there I’d pretend it’s my backyard. Ah...the imagination of a young girl can be limitless! As an adult, I was able to visit a few and it’s still a place where I can take my creativity and imagination to new heights. I have not been to see an exhibit in quite a while and looking forward to one day doing a series of visits.
