I went to Le Louvre to practice sketching. It was a special day, because I felt like these incredible artists were sharing some of their secrets with me. I found a Roman statue of Melpomene holding a mask and I decided to sketch it. I’m not so happy with the end result, but I really enjoyed being there. I want to come back often to improve my sketching skills.
I was also very surprised to find Le Louvre so empty. Here are a few pictures I would like to share with you. It’s so weird to see such few people in line for Mona Liza...

ルーブル美術館にてスケッチの練習をしました。
沢山の作品の中を彷徨いなが、ローマの時代の壮大な銅像、メルポメネー像に惹きつけられ描き進めることにしました。スケッチに欠かせないことは“観察”です。大きすぎて首が痛くなったけど、作家の魂が込められた細部まで、沢山の発見ができた特別な時間でした。
出来はあまり思わしくなかったけど、また足を運んで上達できたらなっと思っています！
そして何より、ルーブル美術館がスカスカで驚きました。いつも長蛇の列を連なるモナリザも数人しかおらず、不思議な気持ちになりました。。
