On the third night of the Democratic National Convention, @kamalaharris–the first Black and South-Asian woman ever to run for vice president of the United States on the ticket of a major national party–accepted her nomination on a night in which the Democrats highlighted the depth and diversity of their female officeholders.

@kamalaharris accepted the nomination in a virtual speech in which she proclaimed that her achievement was “a testament to the dedication of generations before me: women and men who believed so fiercely in the promise of equality, liberty, and justice for all.”
