@aaron___philip and @chellaman met in 2018, first online and later at an event. “It was loud and bustling, so it wasn’t an accessible place for us to talk. But I just remember hugging her,” says @chellaman. “Being able to hold a conversation with another disabled trans person of colour has healed me faster than any amount of therapy would.” On a personal level, their shared experience simply deepened their friendship. But professionally, it meant something else; it emboldened them in their global mission to bring about necessary change, so that growing up, no one would ever feel like they didn’t belong.
