I made this in February 2020. With a heavy heart to the homeless community in my city. Now since the pandemic I know many are trying their best to keep a roof over their heads. The homeless population is growing, our government is manipulating more than ever. Sometimes I feel bad just posting images of me, During this I am reevaluating what my “job” on IG is. I have a heavy heart for people in pain. I have a heavy heart for single parents. For people with untreated mental health so strong they don’t know any better than to simply survive. And surviving is far from simple.

So I sang, played piano and made this video. It’s nothing remarkable, but it’s from my heart. I grew up with a father that was homeless and still made an effort to stay in my life. (He since got sober and now we have a stronger relationship)

I hope to pass the message on to remember that this is hard for all of us, and you are loved. You are safe. Don’t judge the homeless, many of us are hoping for security and relief. We all have our own vices .. aka coping mechanisms aka mental health is real 💕🌸
