Happy birthday #BetyeSaar, an artist known for her pioneering collage work and multimedia artistic practice that draws on personal memories and collective history. In this print, Saar explores aspects of identity and fate, juxtaposing a self-portrait with signs and symbolic objects, such as a mask, flaming Sacred Heart, all-seeing eye, and dice of fortune. She made the print in Philadelphia at the Brandywine Workshop.
