I acknowledge the traditional owners and custodian of this land, the Lenape People. New York is my home but it was theirs first. ⁣ I grew up in a home filled with theatre, music and love. One of my goals in life is to bring more of those things into the world. I’m a full time Performer, Style Activist and the Bandleader of #DandyWellingtonBand. With this band, I’ve created music with some stellar artists. It’s an occupation that fills me with immense joy. Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to have performed in some incredible spaces and worked with some unbelievable people and brands around the world. From performing at the @SyndeyOperaHouse, @RoundhouseLDN and @LincolnCenter to working with @AtlasObscura @EngageSummits and @CreativeTime as well as @Bruce_Weber @JenaMalone @CarmenDeLavallade and Bucky Pizzarelli. I'm also honored to have been included in four books, two films and featured on @CBSSundayMorning. It’s been a surreal experience. ⁣ My art is very much a product of my beliefs. I believe in honoring my family, my people and the beautiful things they've created, especially Jazz. I hope to encourage people to be bold, be bright and be colorful; to see style as an outlet and opportunity. I hope to inspire young people of color to learn their history and embrace their future with positivity and purpose in their hearts. I believe that women’s rights, trans rights, queer rights and the rights of differently able(disabled) are human rights. I believe in honoring indigenous peoples and that love is love. I believe in #VintageStyleNOTVintageValues and that black lives, my life does matter.
