Currently it is legal for federally funded agencies in eight states to discriminate against qualified parents based on sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status and religion. Trump now wants to make this discrimination legal in all 50 states. This would be harmful to the 100,000 foster kids currently in the system who are in desperate need of permanent loving homes. Same sex couples are four times more likely than Differently sex couples to foster and adopt children of color, older children, sibling sets and children with disabilities.
