He patrolled every day for 30 years and for the homes where the owner was not there he made sure they were safe and left patrol memos with security advise in their mailboxes. When I was a child, he organized a "Ohayashi" team and he was teaching kids in town the traditional dance and the traditional instruments to perform. We rehearsed and recited it in long term care homes and festivals. He was always close to people and we felt safe thanks to him. That's my hometown police in Tokyo.
