I literally know of 2 people who lost their eyes over this yesterday. Her eye is badly damaged. She was a peaceful, non-violent, demonstrator. What police are doing is criminal. It’s illegal. As I was walking, I noticed the crowd began to get rowdy. While continuing to walk towards my car, the crowd began to become angrier and angrier. I later found out at the hospital that the protesters frustration stemmed from a cop shoving a girl, while she was kneeling, in the back without cause. Several of the protesters, including myself, began asking the other protesters to relax. And, we decided to kneel on the ground. While, we were kneeling - the officers continued to throw tear gas at us and even began pointing the guns at us. Eventually we had to leave because we could no longer breathe. While I was away from protesters, choking and coughing, an aid approached me asking if I needed any assistance - then within seconds I was either shot with a rubber bullet or directly hit with a tear gas canister at close proximity, this happened as I was walking further away from the crowd with her. If not for @blueboy96, @atbn_mo and @bradbradofficial, I would’ve continue to lay on the ground while the cops watched me bleeding. ⁣ I was walking away. I was peaceful and I was still attacked.⁣ ⁣ I’m okay. My eye will heal. I was able to come home. But, George Floyd and many others did not. ⁣ So while some are highlighting and sharing videos of violent protestors.
