Everyone is trying to gain a better understanding of what they can do right now. Myself included. I think we are all past just posting MLK quotes and instead moving towards activating and demanding real change.
It isn’t enough to not be racist, I need to be loudly, foot stompingly, angrily anti racist. But I also need to understand these issues on deeper level. And also be prepared to have uncomfortable conversations about these issues as well. On both ends. I am starting my own journey of education and understanding as well…I am learning through dialogue and mistakes and listening.
These are the resources I am relying on:
I linked to a PDF document in my profile with an incredibly comprehensive list of books, podcasts, articles. Resources to for white people to deepen our understanding of is happening right now. This document was compiled by Sarah Sophie Flicker and Alyssa Klein.

Also, for another perspective other than just what your friends or influencers are posting, follow some of these accounts. Flood your feed with these posts with calls for real action and change:

And thank you @therealjlennon for making these book suggestions:
-WHITE RAGE by Carol Anderson
-THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF Malcolm X - As told to Alex Haley.

And also ‘How to be an anti racist’ by @ibramxk
If you can, consider donating to some of the black owned small businesses that have been destroyed and looted. I have a few links in my saved stories but I will compile more.

Or, consider donating to the Minnesota Freedom Fund, or the official George Floyd gofundme account.
There are also countless petitions you can sign, which I’ll add a link to in my stories for easy swiping.
I understand there’s a lot of different protests happening and not all are as peaceful as the one I attended, but this was my experience last night. I hope the media shares these displays of peaceful protesting instead of just the violence they seem to only be focusing on.
I stand with you. #blacklivesmatter
