There are no ventilators for those who contract a severe case of COVID19. There is no welfare support for families who’ve lost their jobs and income as a result of shutdowns. So the CCT team can’t shutdown. If we shutdown, families won’t eat, they won’t have medical care and won’t be able to quarantine to prevent the spread of COVID19. CCT’s nurses and social workers are risking their own wellbeing to protect hundreds of vulnerable families facing this COVID-19 crisis. We are literally the only lifeline they have. We all want life to go back to normal, but that is only going to happen if the fight against COVID19 is a united one.
