Since that won’t ever happen and also just can’t happen, I can only do my part in bringing a little more peace to the world by living as peacefully as I can. It doesn’t mean I’m not angry, sad, horrified and scared. As a non-100% white person, I have never been more aware of my ethnicity than I am today. And so I think back to this song I learned in elementary school, that used to make me cry even back then.
