I'm reposting this thread by @thebrownhijabi to highlight the work South Asian and other non-black communities need to do to resolve anti-blackness and our own complicity with white supremacy. I acknowledge my own white passing, mixed race privilege, and the advantages it has given me. I ask that South Asian friends and artists continue to push themselves and to consider how the unlearning we have to do about ourselves ties into the damage our communities do to others. brahmin supremacy (for example) you're probably not doing the work to resolve anti-blackness, and this allows the fucked up state of the world to continue. I'm up for a discussion over DM if these issues are new or challenging for you
