Link in bio to register ! ・ Yuri Shimojo has always used painting to express the interconnected emotions of joy and pain. With minimal formal training in fine art, her style is grounded in the practice of Japanese traditional theater, years spent with indigenous cultures around the world, leading to the study of universal shamanism. Her paintings have been exhibited worldwide, including at the Hōnen-in Temple in Kyoto, the final resting place of Jun’ichirō Tanizaki, author of In Praise of Shadows. Sara Raza is an award-winning curator and writer, and formerly the Guggenheim UBS MAP Curator for the Middle East and North Africa.
