She was curating an exhibition series titled “wassyoi” at 0000 Gallery in Kyoto, for which she gathered a dozen or so artists she met on Twitter and presented their works. They would also parade a float on the public streets of Kyoto and hold talk shows, which seemed so young and fresh. Although in person she would mumble and I would have a hard time grasping what she wanted to say, I could tell that among her artist friends they had established profound communications. As an artist, she has always made me keenly feel the generational differences between us. I was under the impression that, after getting through several rough periods and challenges, recently ob was starting to settle down in her career. But I had understood so little, looking at her through my own narrow lens. Far from settling down, she still harbored the same indefinable feelings within her, unchanged since when she was eighteen. Now, during this uncertain times, she has rekindled such feelings to fuel these events. I feel my soul has truly been refreshed! And so I hope you will also take note of her works and activities.
