And no matter who or what is to blame, scientists all over the world agree on one thing: this pandemic is the first of many to come… Unless we mend our ways. Fifty years ago we were given similar warnings, which we did not heed and climate change has wreaked havoc around the world. We have asked, “nicely” for our leaders to do something but our leaders are the indentured servants to corporations whose policies put profit over public protection, and so it is clear that our leaders can only lead us to perdition. But there is a group that gives me hope, and I urge you to join the EDN – Earth Day Network (@earthdaynetwork via www.earthday.org) which was born out of the first Earth Day in 1970.
