I’ve been staying inside- my production in Canada halted in the beginning of March, I was supposed to move across the country to Brooklyn then but now am just back at home in LA, checking on my family and just like everyone else, waiting for anything to feel more stable before I know my next move. Even though these past few weeks have made me so aware of how I’m able to calm my anxiety around this by knowing I have a place to live, food on the table, my family and I are healthy and safe and knowing that the most disproportionate ways this will affect people won’t have the same destabilizing affects on me for many privileged reasons, this has made me at times so depressed and resentful of being so young and having to watch so many systems that are supposed to take care of you break down in front of you. The past catastrophic four years navigating this country and it’s president I’ve found tons of help in relying on those older to me to remind me the world ends and has ended in so many lifetimes, political leaders are historically and mostly evil, but this pandemic feels scary and individual, our parents are just as scared as we are, so are our grandparents... that said, I just wanted to send everyone deep deep love and healing and hope right now. I’m thinking of everyone dearly, it goes without saying but right now we all know we owe it to ourselves and each other to keep staying inside. 💔❤️」4月6日 4時11分
