I’ll just come right out and admit that I adore avocados (and have looooong before they were trending on IG). I’m a California girl living in Florida. Avocados are a major part of my diet. I’m probably the biggest fan of guacamole you’ll ever meet. But avocados are good for other things besides a chip dip.⁠

Did you know avocados contain more potassium than bananas? Crazy, right? Potassium is essential for heart health. A diet rich in avocados may also help lower bad cholesterol and triglyceride levels due to heart-healthy monounsaturated fat.⁠

Fiber is an important part of any healthy diet. Our digestive tract can stay healthy by making sure to enough fiber, especially dietary fiber which acts like a little scrub brush and keep things humming along. The combination of healthy fats and fiber also helps keep you feeling full for longer after eating.⁠

Avocados are low in sugar and low on the glycemic index. They can replace banana in smoothies when needed.⁠

Now that gets a KALE YEAH + the reason we're blending our AVOCADO MANGO smoothie...⁠

AVOCADO BANANA / serves 1⁠
1 cup spinach⁠
1 cup water⁠
1/2 avocado⁠
½ cup mango⁠
½ banana⁠

1. Blend spinach and water together until smooth.⁠
2. Add remaining ingredients and blend again.⁠
