The boxes are empty, the wrapping paper is all gone and the tape has run off with the scissors for a three day cruise to the Bahamas. I mean, I haven’t seen them so one can only assume. There will not be another birthday or gift giving occasion until mid November 2020. That’s okay. I’m pretty sure my kids received enough to last the next five years. We try to teach the kids about giving too. For instance, Mazzy gave to her Birthday Bud again this year (the same little girl as last year) and Harlow got matched with a Birthday Bud too. If you don’t remember, @birthdaybud is a non-profit organization my friend started to pair kids in need with kids who can give, who have similar birthdays. That means Mazzy and Harlow’s buds have holiday birthdays too. Leading up to their joint birthdays, we got a wish list of a few things they wanted and a few things they needed, so we could shop and send their gifts directly to them. We even received a photo of Harlow’s bud wearing the Jojo Siwa outfit we sent her. I find @birthdaybud is a great way to teach kids about giving to those less fortunate in a way they can understand.
