I remember when Harlow was about four, she said she wanted chicken for dinner and then almost as a joke she added, "I want chicken. Not CHICKEN chicken. The chicken that you eat." I realized she thought the chicken that you eat and cute little fluffy chicks that you find on a farm were two entirely different things. I tried to break it her gently. Then, of course, the conversation evolved into— and steak is cows and bacon is pigs, etc. Harlow’s eyes kept getting wider and more horrified with every word. She still ate her chicken though! Tell me about a time you came clean to your kids in the comments below! I'm excited to partner with @lightlifefoods on their #ATasteOfHonesty campaign because it’s all about being brutally honest with your kids. Luckily with Lightlife’s burgers, it’s a pretty easy conversation: 100% plant-based and 100% delicious. No tough farm animal lessons necessary.
