Also in the fire pit I found a marble statue of a female figure, about the size of my hand, a very ancient style of minimalist form but the proportions of the head, two breast arms & legs were undeniable. I continued to climb further up the mountain until the inner voice initiated me to stop. There was an energy in this moment I simply cannot, maybe I should not try to explain. To purify the moment unfolding, I removed clothing & stepped naked toward the top of the mountain (the forest at the heart of the picture) This was something of a giant spiritual leap, like stepping onto the moon without the space shuttle & as I took five steps forward I saw the square edge of a large piece of marble coming up out from the ground. It took me 30 minutes using bare hands, which cut & bled, before I removed this piece of history. Upon the stone face was clearly the edges of a carved form of the sun. (first post picture) I placed the piece against a tree so that the light of the setting sun could glow upon & connect with it for perhaps the first time in over 2000 years. Here, THE ANCIENTS worshipped the sun, Ra, Apollo, Helios. They gave daily acknowledgement to this great provider of energy & lived, loved & learnt by virtue of it's energy. The Ancient's knowledge & connection with the sun has been very carefully & diligently removed from our history ever since 2000 years ago with the rise of Christianity & it's higher power of God. In this historical process, erasing history of sun spirituality, technology & knowledge was fundamental.l to success of Christianity. The loss is huge. I am convinced we must search deeper for spiritual connection with nature & universe. A phenomenon happens dialing into the energy of nature & universe instead of your cell phone. This force of energy drew me onto this mountain & searching for Crixus, I uncovered a village that Crixus may have gone for help. Maybe they helped & were destroyed. People may remember my post, that I would do a haka for Crixus at Sunset on this day. This mountain is where I did it, naked beneath an amazing giant tree - reminded me of Shannara or Avatar. My haka for Crixus was in fact a tribute to the Settng Sun.

I would like to add that there are more examples of deities related to the sun. The Persians, for example, worshiped to Mithras, their solar god, and the responsible for giving protection when there was an attack and also the possessor of the truth.
In the Norse mythology, it was called Freyr, the god of rain, the rising sun and fertility, and the one who has the golden boar whose glow illuminates the night.
In the Mexican mythology, we can find to Huitzilopochtli, the warrior, god of the sun and war and founder of the Aztecs.
And for the Inca culture the god of sun was Inti, whom they became their particular protective deity.
We can aslo find examples nowadays, such as Amaterasu, the sun goddess of Japan, the Khore ruz or day of the sun of mazdeism... and so on.
It cannot be coincidental that different cultures from different eras feel inclined to worship the sun, so there must be something more... thanks for sharing your wonderful experience @manubennett , reading you I could almost feel it. I wish you a lot of love and light in your journey!

Thank you for sharing your experience! 🌈 I can totally relate to this perspective, the Ancients worshipping the Sun and the fundamental energy in it. I once read about Mithras temples as foundation of many Christian churches. This german article is interesting and it’s quote „Mithras was worshiped as the god of light. The light that has moved and created the cosmos and that exists throughout the cosmos and in all earthly creation as a fire of life.“ https://www.asturien.net/besondere-sch%C3%A4tze/mithras/
As my name is Sandra 😊 I always was fascinated by Egyptian mythology, sun good Ra (also in Maori culture as you mentioned), and especially in the period of Akenaten and his establishment of ‚Aton‘ as the only (Sun) God, as one of the first monotheistic religions.

@manubennett I like these posts you do on these topics cos I agree with you with ancient information and knowledge being hidden and destroyed. There is so much that we do not know. I do also agree with nature. Sometimes I go to this garden in the park in the city where I live to get away watching the sunset. There isn't a time where I don't think of the ancients when I'm in that moment. If only we knew the truth that has been hidden. I went through my red pill moment about 9-10 years ago where I had to question everything I was taught. I learned of the ancient paganism is involved in the religion of christianity. Needless to say I left it cos I had to.

Manu, you are very woke person. If only the leaders of humanity would share a small percentage of your spirit, I'd not fear for the future of mankind as I do. You have a bright spark whithin you, that kindles other's souls. What you wrote here reminds me of my favourite music theme from one of my favourite metal bands. Listen to this and tell me is this not what you felt: https://youtu.be/EGvMgPvsh1o Please brother, continue inspiring people, keep on kindling that ancient spirit

The irony is that Jesus is a variation of the Sun/Nature gods. The Cross is a sun symbol: The short top of the cross represents the Winter Solstice, the long bottom end is the Summer Solstice, the ends of the cross beam are the Fall and Spring Equinoxes; the Sun (Son) is ‘crucified’ in the center. The Solar Cross was the symbol of the Emperor Constantine, who worshipped the Sun God, and didn’t get around to converting to Christianity until his deathbed.

to experience something like this is unique. I myself went for a walk, just turned and climbed through the scrub until I suddenly stopped. I mean there was nothing, I could not move, but the energy I felt was so indescribably strong. Everything around us is energy and in some places it seems to be bundling. nice to read that iam not alone.
