Big fan of kettlebell swings b/c they build strong glutes & are challenging! What’s something challenging that you practice?
.
Try and keep these do’s and dont’s in mind when working on your swing 👊🏼
.
DO
- high hinge
- shoulders back
- proud chest
- “break” the handle in half w/ your grip
- push into the ground w/ those feet like you’re going to jump straight up in the air
- feel it in the booty!
- let the kb float, use that to time your hinge
.
DON’T
- over arch your back at standing
- use your forearms to lift
- let the kb pull you
- get too squatty!

@shawn_booth18 Why do you not bring your arms up to parallel/90 degrees (ish) and stop at 45 degrees? Is that just where it’s naturally stopping as the KB pulls you? (Not being a smart ass or criticizing) Just would like to know! Thanks! You look amazing! ?

Why the one pant leg always? Tuck the boys in? Is it a gang? Are we riding bicycles? Do they come like that, or does a seamstress hem them? I am always curious.

Every time I do these swings, I hurt my lower back ? I’ve tried working with trainers and coaches but for some reason I seem to not be able to catch on..

Any posture tips? I plan on getting into the gym but weights has never been my forte, I do distance running but would like to build some muscle.

@shawn_booth18 would love to fly to nashville and have a session with you. I’m not a CrossFit type person but you make it look fun

Jump rope. I suck at it. But i love it and it’s killer cardio. I love adding it as a finisher to the end of a weight workout.
