#WorkoftheWeek: Robert Morris’s “Untitled (Black Felt)” is comprised of hanging strips of heavy felt that respond to gravity. The sculpture was formed through the simple actions of cutting and dropping, and is an example of anti-form. This term is associated with a group of sculptors who embraced chance and worked from the principle that form should be derived from the characteristic qualities of a chosen material.
