Co-produced with engineer/mixer extraordinaire, Bob Clearmountian, we recorded and mixed the album in only 2 weeks in New York City, I was 21 years old. Mickey Curry was the drummer, and he’s still in my band today. It was a very exciting time, I’d traveled to NYC, I was living in the Algonquin Hotel (thanks to a very nice front desk manager who had given me a very cheap rate). It had a single bed with no loo, and a view onto the back watertowers of 44th street, it was a shoebox...but it was my shoebox. it was from there I spent every minute when I wasn’t in the studio. I had a Sony walkman, and I would take a tape back every night from the studio, and make notes on what we had recorded during the day or night. I'd try and play it for Jim Vallance (my co-writer) over the phone, the internet wasn’t to come for another decade. One other funny note, I was gonna call the album “Bryan Adams Hasn’t Heard Of You Either” but my record company rejected it. That was 38 years ago…I can hardly believe it, what a ride. #bryanadamsyouwantityougotit」7月22日 5時03分 - bryanadams
