As the working-class son of an immigrant, I know where I came from. My father's name was Eli — he came to this country at 17, knowing almost no English, to escape poverty and persecution.
No matter what Donald Trump says, we know that our diversity is our strength. He wants to divide us up; we are going to do the opposite. Thank you for having me @lulac — let's go forward together.

My grandma was 16 when she immigrated from Ireland ??. Irish people were often looked down upon & treated very poorly by others in the USA. She became a nurse. She stayed devoted to her husband who spent all of World War II in a Japanese Prisoner of War Camp despite coming back to the USA pretty messed up. Their son, my dad, was a career meat cutter & one of my strongest advocates. I’m a retired public school teacher. Thirty years of service. God bless the immigrants & their children.

I wonder why the focus for his campaign is foreigners if he actually wants to become the president of his country. If he truly wants that, he should focus on how to make a country where it's people are happy to be born at. Trump is actually doing that. He's focusing on building a better America where it's citizens feel happy, proud to be there, with freedom, security and opportunities for improvement.

The world needs leaders/intuitive / without greed and self-importance as their guiding principles... More Bernie’s , please. I wish we could just elect a round table of many of these intelligent, aware and skilled people to operate the the systems that move us closer to a peaceful, safe, and educated world.

you don't want to answer me, cuz Bernie is FOR, the middle class. Are you filthy rich? Cuz that's the only way Bernie's policies would hurt you and your father. Please quit being ignorant and listen to antything but fox news

And so the claim is diversity is good. A given. What isn't usually explained is that diversity to the extreme can cause countries to lose commonalities. No wonder we are so polarized.
