There’s no denying that flying private is seen by nearly everyone as the peak of luxury. There are no airport security lines, and your jet goes where you want, whenever you want. But a 41,000-foot commute is still a commute and, in the days before Google Hangouts, the private flight was sometimes more practical than luxurious for some businesspeople. If you wanted to conduct business face-to-face, you had to bring yourself to the customer — or better yet, invite them to your private boardroom in the sky. J.W.
