Sushi in a bowl seems too good to be true. But it exists, and it’s called Chirashi-sushi. Try it out for yourself in Delta One on the way to Tokyo (#NRT).

Horrible horrible experience today on Delta! The worst travel experience of my life. We were delayed 3 hours after we boarded in NY en route to CDG because first the food didn’t arrive on the plane then there was a plane blocking us so we couldn’t pull out of the gate then there was traffic on the tarmac then we sat in silence for an hour. We missed our connecting flight to Ibiza and the flight attendants told us that there would be an attendant waiting for us when we got off the plane to help us. Nobody was there. We ran to our next flight in another terminal hoping to make it but we missed it. We had to pay for a whole new flight to Ibiza and we were stuck in the Paris airport for 12 hours!! Then our next flight was delayed two hours. We’ve been traveling for over 24 hours. This has been a horrific experience. And Delta is being less than understanding and accommodating saying they “did their job. They got us to Paris.” And offered us a $150 travel voucher to use on another flight. Insulting.

@shezalenko so true! that’s what my girlfriend and I said to each other to get us through the day. Last June we took a Delta flight from NY to Barcelona and flew Delta Comfort+ and had a terrible experience. Our flight was delayed with no reason for 4 hours. Then once on board we were treated horribly by our flight attendant “Jaclyn”. @delta sent us a “$50 Delta Voucher” and apologized profusely for the flight attendant treated us like garbage. We figured it was a fluke and decided to try @delta again. Well the joke was on us. Fool me once shame on you. Fool my twice ... This time we were offered $150 Delta voucher. I guess they want to bring us back for another round of torture.

@globetrotmatt not all of us are globetrotters well equipped for whatever @delta has in store for us. A 9 hour trip turned to 25 hours is definitely not ideal. Knowing we were cutting it close to our connection’s departure, the flight staff should have tried a little to make sure we were taken care of. They lied and said a delta representative would be at the gate to help us and nobody was there. It took us longer to get off the plane then it did to get through customs and get over to our next gate. Also, how would you know how I booked my flight? ? @delta

@jonlavelle sounds like a whole lot of events that are out of DAL’s control. DAL doesn’t control gate pushes to taxi. Food service is contracted out. Every airline does it that way. Not DAL’s fault it probably took you forever to clear customs. Sounds like you bought basic economy and expected Delta One service. #themoreyouknow?

@jonlavelle ahhh man. I'm sorry to hear that, as when I am in the States I always fly Delta. Just shows you what different experiences different people can have ? I hope you were able to put it behind you and have a wonderful holiday

@jonlavelle your fault for cutting it close does not constitute an airline bending over backwards for you. Thousands of people a day are cutting it close.
