This morning Carol Jacobi, the curator of The EY Exhibition: Van Gogh and Britain gave Rena and Mike (and his granddaughter Fenella) a private tour before opening hours. 💛🌻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Mike recalled: ‘The 1947 exhibition inspired me to get on my bicycle with my then girlfriend, and cycle all the way to Arles - which is the subject of many of Van Gogh’s paintings. I fell in love with it! We spent a lot of time walking around the hills behind Arles. It’s an extraordinary place.’ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Rena attended the Glasgow exhibition with her father when she was 16.
