Keith Haring (1958–1990) used his art to fight for LGBTQ+ equality and safe sex education in a way not seen before or since. Despite his fame and celebrity, he remained fiercely committed to social change, donating his time and work to groups and causes like #NationalComingOutDay, #WorldAIDSDay and ACT UP.
He wanted to reach as many people as possible through his work. 'Art is nothing if you don’t reach every segment of the people,' he said. 'Art is for everybody.' Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. #IDAHOBIT #IDAHOBIT2019 🏳️🌈
