Andy Warhol’s ‘Colored Campbell’s Soup Can’ is one of only 19 three by two foot canvases that premiered at Leo Castelli Gallery in New York in 1965 - the same year of its creation. The present work was personally selected by Mr. Castelli’s wife and one of the most influential figures in the 20th century art world, Ileana Sonnabend, and remained in her esteemed collection until her passing in 2007.
