It doesn’t matter if anyone else is comfortable with your skin. But it does matter immensely whether you’re comfortable in your own skin. In fact, your opinion of yourself is really the only one that matters. _ In a world where it’s so easy to “beautify” your image and let glossy filters hide what we think others won’t like it takes courage to just be your unfiltered self. When what you judge yourself by are other people’s curated social media snapshots it can be hard to look in the mirror and love yourself. I am committed not to editing out my burn scar. Besides, it’s getting SO much better that you might not have even noticed it. It’s that patch of skin in the middle of my right thigh, it’s lighter because I’ve been putting sunscreen on it after going through laser treatments. The laser treatments are painful but they really work wonders. _ So if you’re reading this remember, I’m a real person just like you. I’ve got cellulite, stretch marks, sagging skin, scars, zits, and all other kinds of stuff. I’m human. We all are. While physical beauty can be attractive, it is only one layer of being. Our true self is comprised of infinite layers of energy.
