However, hundreds of millions of people are still living without access to clean water. While working in Uganda, I’ve seen that some people simply don’t drink any water since it’s not safe enough and tastes bad. Every morning children walk to this water pump in Ttaba village, near Lake Victoria in Uganda. A few community bicycles are parked under a tree that gives some shade, and the kids help each other fill all the cans before carrying or pushing them back up the hill to their homes. At home, the water is boiled and used for cooking, laundry, or taking a shower. As I watched them return at least three times a day, I thought of the many things in my everyday life I would have to give up if I didn’t have access to clean drinking water. // Join @P&G(Procter & Gamble) and our Children’s Safe Drinking Water partners as we continue #DoingGoodEveryDay on our way to providing 25 billion liters of clean water by 2025.
