Did you know? (You did if you watched my stories haha) Higashikawa is the only town in Japan that has no public water supply system. Why?? Higashikawa is blessed with underground water that flows down from the melting snow of Mount Daisetsu, meaning you get to drink, bathe, cook with fresh mineral water every single day! FOR FREE! (I think their bottled water in combini has very low sales lol).

The water is so pure with well balanced minerals it has actually won awards before! Please bring a flask and go to Taisetsu Asahidake Gensui to fill up your own free mineral water bottle!
