【swipe】Higashikawa is a small town located next to Asahikawa (the second largest city in Hokkaido after Sapporo). It’s located at the center of Hokkaido and is near many other attractions such as Asahiyama Zoo, Asahikawa Airport, and also just an hour away from Furano.

I never expected such a chic zakka (lifestyle) store in such remote little town, it has a Scandinavian charm to it I thought I was in a Nordic city. I was super impressed because the staff here are super stylish, and people who shop here has great dressing sense too even in such harsh climate (almost below freezing point every single day).

This store/show room is called “Good News” and I was brought here by a really kind gentleman. When you come to a new place with an open heart, you are bound to receive many good news, and meet good people. And Higashikawa has lots of them. ♡
